As we enter the second leg of British Food Fortnight 2023 we are in the midst of celebrating the best of British produce and are embracing classic British grub, Fish Union style of course!

From creating classic British dishes for our menu to sourcing our produce as locally as possible, we are all about supporting local and champion the positive impact that this has to the planet and the climate.  We source our fresh fish daily from local UK fishermen and their communities, which not only supports local economies, it enables us to offer delicious flavours with seasonal offerings and the freshest fish for our guests to consume.  And, it’s kinder to the planet, as sourcing local British produce reduces our carbon footprint.

As experienced chefs, we have access to many incredible producers across the country. We source our fresh market fish from Brixham and Rye Bay; our beautiful quality farmed salmon from Scotland and delicious mouth-watering oysters from Maldon and Jersey.  All incredibly delicious. All British.

Here are our favourite British dishes that we plan to tuck into this week to celebrate the remainder of the Best of British fortnight.  You can purchase our fresh fish or At Home dishes via our online shop or give us a call to order and have yourself a winner winner, fishy dinner!

Fish PieA classic British dish, like putting on your favourite pair of slippers, our fish pie is pure comfort.

Confit crispy potatoesUs Brits love a good old chip and our confit crispy potatoes are up there with the best – in fact, they pretty much have their own cult following!

Ocean roastA roast on a Sunday is a typical British tradition.  We keep ours meat free and enjoy a delicious ocean roast – our roasted catch of the day, with all the trimming and drizzled with our shellfish sauce, this is definitely one to be tried.

Oysters – Grown and harvested here in Britain, for a burst of the taste of the sea you can’t beat our Oysters, they are mouth-wateringly good.
